Matrix-inspired poems

Cheshire smile

a certain individual is looking for you

heart pounding.

opens his mouth and swallows.

stares at

lips almost touching

beautiful

she turns and he watches her bodies.

touch me!

she likes

bony fingers

slowly dragging down the surface

a little embarrassed

her fists clenching as she

swallows hard and nods.

he takes a deep breath.

he begins squeezing,

his fingers gouging into

her flesh

holding it tightly with both hands

POUNDING

on his hands and knees, he reels

split like cut glass.

sweat pours off him as

his fingers curl

his eyes twitch

his face tightens

a pressure builds inside

balls to bones

becoming liquid.

he's going to pop!

come

in long rubbery strands like mirrored taffy

creeps up his neck

in his open lips

between his teeth

coating the tips

Ready to be free

He takes out a cellular phone

the instant it is in his hand, it RINGS.

The rattle marks the silence.

The entire floor looks up

from the racks of monitors.

Every single employee

resumes clicking,

shadow figures working quickly,

like a human keyboard.

Is everything in place?

The company has a problem.

One of these lives has a future.

Yeah.

That's me.

I’M GOING TO LEARN JUJITSU
